The Inevitable Passing
The god of time and fate, Vremus, is Lawful Neutral. He is worshiped by scholars and diviners. Vremus was the first child of Estra and Cedos after the elemental gods, and even as a child was a solitary, brooding sort. His youth was short-lived, however; he aged much more quickly than any of the gods, and became an old man in very little time. Knowing that he had already seen everything that was, is, and ever will be, he plucked out his eyes; his left eye became Zona, the sun goddess, and the right became Luon, the moon god. He now stirs the sands of time, rarely in the company of more than one, as his son and daughter are always traveling. Vremus values patience and forethought in mortals. Vremus is gladdened by mortals who live in the moment but do not forget the future. The domains he is associated with are Time, Fate, Destiny, and Divination. His favored weapon is the quarterstaff.
