The Embrace of Love
The god of love and family, Ligestos, is Lawful Good. He is worshiped by mothers, those wishing to marry, and those wishing to start families. Ligestos is the husband of Kennaea. The twin brother of Erastos, Ligestos was fanciful and naive in youth. He studied under Vremus with his brother for a short time, but proved too lax and absent-minded in for a scholastic life. However, he soon found purpose when he came upon a fawn starving in the primeval wilds; he fed it and nursed it back to health, and the two formed a bond of love that Ligestos would soon wish to spread to all. He soon became the most beloved of gods, and that attracted Engaenes, who seduced him and bore Strata. Even now he tries to guide Strata away from her base pleasures and settle down, but to no avail. Mortals with mercy and a kind heart appeal to Ligestos, and he is gladdened by those that love and do good for others regardless of their differences or their past. The domains he is associated with are Charm, Family, Good, and Joy. His favored weapon is the dart.
