The Courageous Blade
The god of war and soldiers, Erastos, is Chaotic Good. He is worshiped by soldiers and their families, generals, and in times of war, many others. The twin brother of Ligestos, Erastos was impetuous and prideful in youth. He studied under Vremus with his brother for a short time, but proved too brash and short-tempered for a scholastic life. However, he soon found discipline when he stumbled upon Cedos’s sword, and trained with it while the other gods slept. He soon became one of the mightiest gods in his adulthood, and that power attracted Engaenes, who seduced him and bore him the twins Lobadra and Therona. Even now he wars with Lobadra, hoping to shield mortals threatened by Lobadra’s bands of monstrous warriors. Mortals with courage and a strong sense of justice appeal to Erastos, and he is honored by those who make war with those who threaten innocent beings. The domains he is associated with are War, Courage, Strength, and Good. His favored weapon is the greatsword.
